In this course, you will:
Extend understanding of the number system for the following:

• Rational numbers
• Irrational numbers
• Percents
• Roots
• Exponents
• Absolute values
• Numbers represented in scientific notation
Geometry and Measurement:
• Understand and apply concepts involving lines, angles, and planes
• Understand and Apply the Pythagorean Theorem
• Understand and apply the distance formula and Midpoint formula
• Understand and apply properties of polygons
• Understand and apply concepts of similarity
• Solve real world mathematical problems involving volume of cylinders, cones, and spheres.
Statistics and probability:
• Construct and interpret scatter plots
• Know that straight lines are used to model relationships between two quantitave variables.
• Display frequency and relative frequency.
• Interpret data
Functions and Algebra:
• Define,evaluate,and compare functions
• understand the connection between proportional relationships, lines, and linear equations.
• Use functions to model relationships between quantities.
• Analyse proportional relationships and use them to solve real world problems.
• Analyse and solve linear equations and systems of equations.
